Reach listeners, not just readers
Audiobook Production
Audiobooks are the fastest-growing format in publishing, and the one most self-published authors skip. That is a sizeable readership left on the table.
The approach
The narrator is the book, for the listener. Casting is the decision that matters most.
A listener spends eight hours with one voice. The wrong casting — too young, too polished, wrong region — breaks the book quietly and permanently. We audition several narrators against your actual text and let you choose from recorded samples.
Some books should be narrated by their author, particularly memoir. If yours is one, we will direct and record you properly rather than talk you out of it.

The process
How this
actually runs.
Five stages, each gated by your approval. You will always know what happens next and what it costs.
Start the conversationCasting brief
Voice qualities, age, accent and register, chosen against your book’s tone.
Auditions
Three to five narrators record the same passage from your manuscript. You pick.
Pronunciation prep
A guide built for every name, place and term the narrator must not get wrong.
Recording and direction
Studio sessions with a director, so performance issues are caught live.
Master and distribute
Mastered to specification, proof-listened, then released across every audio platform.
Questions
The things
authors ask first.
If your question is not here, ask it on the consultation call — we would rather answer it before you commit than after.
For memoir, often yes — your voice is part of the authenticity. For business books and fiction, usually not, unless you have performance experience. We will record a test and be honest with you about the result.
Finished audio runs about one hour per 9,000 words. Studio time is roughly two hours per finished hour, so a 70,000-word book is around eight finished hours and three to five weeks end to end.
It depends on your genre and list price. Audio is a meaningful share of sales in business and self-help, less so in some fiction niches. We will model the breakeven for your specific book before you commit.
Yes, entirely. You hold the rights and the royalties, and the distribution accounts are in your name.
Yes, for dual-POV fiction or full-cast productions. It costs more and takes longer, and we will tell you whether your book actually needs it.
