Launches that find readers

Book Marketing & Launch

Publishing a book and selling a book are different projects. The first ends when the file uploads. The second is where most self-published books quietly stop.

The approach

We would rather sell a thousand copies to the right readers than chase a number that means nothing.

A launch spike that collapses in week two tells you nothing and earns you little. What matters is whether the book keeps selling in month six, and that comes from the dull fundamentals: accurate targeting, a cover that converts, reviews, and ads that are actually profitable.

We report what we spent and what it returned, every week, including the weeks it did not work.

What is included

  • Launch-week plan with a realistic, modelled sales target
  • Amazon Ads account setup, keyword research and ongoing management
  • Review generation through legitimate ARC reader programmes
  • Email list building with a lead magnet drawn from the book
  • Podcast and press outreach to a researched contact list
  • Social content kit: quote cards, audiograms and teaser video
  • Weekly reporting on spend, sales and return

The process

How this
actually runs.

Five stages, each gated by your approval. You will always know what happens next and what it costs.

Start the conversation
01

Audience definition

Who actually buys this book, and where they already spend attention.

02

Pre-launch

ARC readers recruited, early reviews gathered, and an email list warmed before release day.

03

Launch week

Coordinated price promotion, advertising, and outreach concentrated into one window.

04

Ads optimisation

Daily keyword and bid management until the campaign is reliably profitable.

05

Sustain

Ninety days of steady optimisation, because month three is what proves the book works.

Questions

The things
authors ask first.

If your question is not here, ask it on the consultation call — we would rather answer it before you commit than after.

No, and anyone who does is selling you a technicality. “Amazon bestseller” usually means ranking first in a tiny subcategory for an hour. We would rather aim at sustained sales, and we will tell you what we think is realistic before you spend.

A meaningful Amazon Ads test needs about $500–$1,500 per month for the first ninety days. Below roughly $300 a month there is not enough data to optimise against.

Advance Review Copies go to genuine readers in your genre before release, in exchange for an honest review. Honest is the operative word — buying reviews violates Amazon’s terms and risks your account, and we will not do it.

It is the only audience you actually own. Retail platforms can change their algorithm overnight; an email list cannot be taken from you. We build one as part of every campaign.

Often, yes. Backlist titles frequently respond well to a refreshed cover, rewritten metadata and a proper ads campaign.
